Glenda Ann White Services Sunday; Burial at Alfalfa
Glenda Ann, 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn White of north of Carnegie, died Thursday morning after an illness of two weeks. She suffered a high fever, but the fever had broken and the family thought her chances of recovery were improving when she died.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Christian church with Rev. Harry Hubbard, pastor, preaching the sermon. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery under direction of Pitcher's.
Glenda Ann was born Dec. 29, 1935 in Carnegie. She was an invalid all of her life.
Survivors besides her parents are two sisters, Clara Jan of the home and Mrs. Bowman Lents of Alex, and her two grandmothers, Mrs. J.B. McKenney of the home and Mrs. Charles H. White of Chickasha.
Among those from a distance here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Mantooth, Albert Mantooth and son John of Purcell; Mrs. White, Sam and Arthur White, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Manley and C.K. Hare of Chickasha; Mr. and Mrs. Charles White of Sallisaw; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shepherd and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shepherd, Yukon; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burch, Fletcher; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh White, Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Lents, Alex, and Mr. and Mrs. Pat White, Binger.
Here for the funeral from the Chickasha Express where Glenn works were Dave Vandever, publisher, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Moring, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wilburn, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Catlin Jannings.
