Born Oct. 30, 1907 in Newburg, Adela was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (nee Hawig) Hentz.
After her marriage to Clarence Spaeth on Oct. 30, 1935 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg, they settled in West Bend.
She enjoyed needlework, gardening and her flower beds. Adela and Clarence loved traveling throughout the United States. Adela volunteered in the laundry at the Samaritan Health Center for many years. Every Christmas Eve, she enjoyed having her family at her home. Clarence predeceased her on Jan. 25, 1987.
Survivors include three children, Lloyd (Kathy) and Ruth (Jim) Rady, both of Kewaskum and Allen (Diane) of Richfield; 10 grandchildren, Terry (Mike) Melaney, Jack Spaeth, Mary (Tom) Loduha, Karen (Tom) Wilde, Donna (Don) Scharfenberg, Bob (Mary) Spaeth, Andy (Janice) Spaeth, Pete (Diedre) Spaeth, Debbie (Bill) Butzlaff and Adam (Stacey) Rady; 24 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were three sisters, Lorraine (Isador) Spaeth, Viola (Ben) Tennies and Marie Hentz; one brother, Joseph (Myrna) Hentz and a sister-in-law, Malinda (Peter) Merten.
