Marian M. Pooler, 95, of Amarillo, formerly of Clovis, N.M., died
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors,
Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with the Rev. Jerry Stein of
Holy Family Catholic Church of Nazareth officiating. Graveside
services will be at 3 p.m. today in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens
Cemetery at Clovis.

Mrs. Pooler was born in Austin. She moved to Amarillo from Clovis in
1992. She attended schools in San Antonio. She worked at Douglas
Aircraft during World War II. She also worked for Hughes
Semi-Conductor as a salesperson.

She was a Gold Star Mother during the Korean War. She also was a
member of the Clovis Senior Citizens and Sacred Heart Catholic Church
at Clovis.

She married Louis G. Pooler in 1950 at Long Beach, Calif. He died in
1978.

Survivors include three daughters, Alice M. Abee, Jeanette Pooler and
Dorothy Stamper, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
