Merle C. Curtis, 95, passed away on the morning of Feb. 8, 2013, at the Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 24, 1917, to Joseph William and Lilly Ann Loy Chapple in Ucon, Idaho. She attended schools in Spanish Fork, graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1935.
Merle met and married the love of her life Kenneth Courtland Curtis on Jan. 5, 1935, and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple, on Oct. 12, 1937. They spent 63 wonderful years together before Ken's passing in 1997.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday Feb. 15, 2013 at 12:00 Noon, in the Springville West 8th Ward LDS Ward Chapel, 878 W Center (East Chapel) Springville, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the chapel previous to the services. There will be no viewing the night before. Interment will be held at the Springville City Cemetery 200 West 400 South under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
