After an illness of short duration Emanuel Beachy, resident of Walnut Cheek Township, Holmes Co. passed away. The cause of his death is attributed to a severe case of cold, which turned into pneumonia. Mr. Beachy was a man of physical strength, and enjoyed himself very much by laboring on the farm. By toil and persistence he became the possessor of a few nice farms. The funeral was held at his home on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, where a large concourse of people had assembled for the occasion. Services were conducted by the Bishops Noah P. Bitchy and Moses E. Mast. His age was 73 yr. 10 mo, 9 da.
