George is said to be the son of Rev. War Capt. John & Mary Wallace Ioor & died at Clermont Plantation near present day Wedgefield, S. C. A source indicates that he was a Revolutionary War soldier and one of the founders of Claremont Episcopal Church in Stateburg, S. C. near his plantation. He is said to be the first cotton planter in S. C. As was common in those early days in interior S. C., I presume his burial to be in the family graveyard on his plantation. On-line source is HERE.
