Martha LaVerne Thompson
GREENSBURG - Martha LaVerne Thompson, 84, died June 9, 1993, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 5, 1908, at Greensburg, the daughter of William and Ida Barney Stapleton.
A lifetime Greensburg resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Joymakers Extension Homemakers Unit, both at Greensburg.
On Feb. 14, 1928, she married Andy Franklin Thompson at Greensburg. He died Sept. 9,1969.
Survivors include: two sons, Franklin W., Greensburg, and John W, Lewis; five grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fleener Chapel, Greensburg, with the Rev. Mark Hornbaker presiding. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
Memorials may be sent to Heritage Manor in care of the funeral chapel.
