7/12/2001 - Ernest F. Barr, 64, of Lutheran Retirement Home, formerly of 842 N. Main St., died at 5:39 a.m. Thursday (July 12, 2001) in WCA Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Jenks Township, Pa., a son of the late Ross and Grace Baum Barr. He had been employed by Jamestown Veneer and was a former member of the Salvation Army. He was a member of the New York State National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by a sister, Mona Higley of Jamestown; and a brother, Edwin Barr of Gerry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Clifford, Calvin and Elton Barr. A private graveside memorial service will be held in Sunset Hill Cemetery
