Michael G. Jeffcoat, 59, of Cross, a self-employed landscaper, died Friday, June 10, 2011, in Berkeley County.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, June 14, 2011, in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in North, with the Rev. Jack Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jeffcoat was born Aug. 10, 1951, in North, a son of William Wilson Jeffcoat and Vera Dell Spiers Jeffcoat. He was a graduate of North High School, received a special training certificate from Carolina, and attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church in North. Mr. Jeffcoat enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football, but most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Jean Austin Jeffcoat; his mother of North; a daughter, Lisa Jean McArn and her husband, William, of Ridgeville; three sons, Michael Travis Jeffcoat and his wife, Nikki, of North, David Cohen Powell of Branchville, and James Christopher Bornscheuer of League, Texas; a sister, Bernice Morgan and husband Gene of Columbia; four brothers, Clyde Jeffcoat and wife Rita of North, Earl Jeffcoat and wife Barbara of North, Kenneth Jeffcoat and wife Donna of Swansea, and Roger Jeffcoat and wife Bertie of North; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
