MRS. ELVIRA B. LINDSEY
TAYLORS, Jan. 18 - Funeral services for Mrs. Elvira Belue Lindsey, 80, wife of J.D. Lindsey, who died Friday night at 10:15 at the home of her son, Grady C. Lindsey, on Taylors, Route 1, will be held Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the Mt. View Methodist Church conducted by Rev. L.C. Turbeville, Rev. Paul Kinnett and Rev. J.T. Turner. Interment will be in the Church cemetary. Active pallbearers will be grandsons as follows: Clyde, Guy, George, Hubert, Kirby and Lester Lindsey.
Mrs. Lindsey was the daughter of the late Mathew and Charlotte Reid Lindsey. She was a member of the Glassy mountain Baptist Church.
Beside her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Hayes and Mrs. Effie Chastain; eight sons, J.L., W.R., H.D., F.J., Grady C., Carl, P.E. and J.C. Lindsey; one brother, Furman Belue; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Harrison and Mrs. Belle Gosnell; 37 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The body will be at the home of her son, J.L. Lindsey, near Tigerville.
