CUERO - Bessie Lee Murphree, 90, of Cuero, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006.
She was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Humble, to the late Lee Davenport and Cassie McKey Davenport. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cuero.
Survivors: daughter, Pat Benbow of Yoakum; son, John D. Murphree of Victoria; sisters, Ethel T. McMillian of Houston and Clarkye Hanks of Dallas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, John Charles Murphree; son, Gary L. Murphree; sister, Gayle Mason; brothers, Clyde Davenport, Burt Davenport, Douglas Davenport and Bill Davenport.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Freund Funeral Home, Cuero.
