Jeanette Woline
Jeanette A. Woline, 76, of New London, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Morning Sun Care Center in Morning Sun.
Born Dec. 16, 1923, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Walter and Laura Detrick Elliott. She married Russell C. Woline on May 28, 1939, in Burlington.
Mrs. Woline attended New London schools and many real estate classes. She was a homemaker. She also worked as a real estate agent for 20 years in California and for 10 years after moving to New London.
She was of the Methodist faith. She volunteered at Old Threshers in Mount Pleasant and enjoy traveling and walking along the beach in California. She collected cookbooks and cups and loved cooking, family gatherings and having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Rita Cannon of Barstow, Calif.; one son, Gary Woline of Apple Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Bell of Upland, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at noon today at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Woline will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery, New London, at a later date.
Memorials have been established for the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
