"Mr. Bromm came to the USA from Germany at age 15. He operated a store at 510 Upper 4th Street in Evansville. He was a dealer of fancy groceries, canned goods and held a daily meat market. He was a member of Central Turners and he was president of Liederkranz (a German Society) for 30 years. Mr. Bromm was also a local opera star."
