Mrs. Rosie M. Sartin, age 80, of Rome, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Sartin was born February 9, 1931, in Palestine, Ala. a daughter of the late B.J. Towe, and Alma Tate Towe. She was a member of Cross Point Community Church. Mrs. Sartin was preceded in death by her husband Robert Quinn Sartin; brothers, Olin and B.F. Towe; half brother, Troy Floyd.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gerland Allen and LuAnn Sartin, Rome; sister, Mary Prince, Rome; half sister, Inez Pittman, Cartersville, grandchildren, Gina Walters and her husband, Jason, Rome; Mandy Brackett and her husband, Danny, Rome; Derick Sartin and his wife, Kimberly, Rome, great granchildren, Justin, Katlyn, and Jacob Walters, Austin Angle, Emma Rose Sartin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Diggs, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Danny Brackett, Bruce Ledbetter, Michael Walters, Justin Walters, Jacob Walters, and Jason Walters.

Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of arrangements for the services of Mrs. Rosie M. Sartin.
