Funeral services for Mrs. Hugo Cornelsen were held Tuesday as ternoon in the Texhoma Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. H W. Kamman, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Cornelsen was the former Lydia Marie Heimsoth, daughter of the late William Heimsoth and Mrs. Betty Heimsoth of Optima. Mrs. Heimsoth, 87, survives.
Lydia Marie Carolina Cornelsen was born Feb. 8, 1905, at Blackburn, Mo She moved to the Optima community as a child. with her parents. On July 21, 1929 she was married to Hugo C. Cornelsen of Texhoma, who survives Their first child, Rheba Marie, died as an infant in 1930 Three other children still survive her - two sons, Paul of Texhoma and Jerry of Goodwell, and a daughter. Lucille, the wife of Buster Spradling of Texhoma Other relatives who survive include two brothers, Walter and Albert and four sisters - Mrs. Paul Wright, Miss Helen Heimsoth and Miss Viola Heimsoth, and Mrs. Fred Gerdsen. All these relatives live at Optima except Mrs Gerdsen, who lives in Canyon, Tex. There are also seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Cornelsen had lived in Texhoma for the past 33 years and was an active and faithful member of the St. Paul Lutheran
church. Death came at the age of 57
years and two days last Saturday night in a Canyon, Tex hospital, following a period of illness. Burial in the Texhoma Cemetery was under the direction of
Dawson-Welch Funeral Home.
