Agostinha G. da Silva Caldeira, 84, of Wallingford, passed away on Friday September 23, 2011 at the Regency House in Wallingford.

Agostinha was born on Madeira Island of Portugal, April 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Agostinha Goncalves and Antonio Alves da Silva and moved to Wallingford in 1969 where she has resided since. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.

She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward M. and Maria R. Caldeira; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Maria Eduarda Caldeira Gomes; her three brothers including locally, Francisco da Camara; and two sisters.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, Monday, September 26, 2011. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, from The Wallingford Funeral Home the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
