Ethelene (Swisher) Cook passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Council Grove Healthcare Center, Council Grove, KS at the age of 94.
She was born December 11, 1918 in Bridgeport, Kansas the daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Stewart) Swisher. She married Dale Cook October 10, 1942 in Wilsey, Kansas.
Ethelene loved her family and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and her card clubs.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale Cook, her grandson Travis Rodman, her sister Margaret Shubert and her brother Clyde Swisher.
Ethelene is survived by her four daughters: Judy Rodman and husband Don of Amarillo, TX, Janice Kirk and husband Dan of Hartly, DE, Carol Bailey and husband Craig of Colleyville, TX and Susan King and husband Ben of Council Grove; grandchildren: Kenny Rodman, Kimberly Kraft, Mark Rodman, Tiffany Epperson, Dulcinea Rakestraw and Jake King; great grandchildren: Katelynn, Colton, Andrew, Becca, Gabby, Matthew, Maddox, Thatcher and Brynn; brother Virgil Swisher and sister-in-law Stella Swisher.
