He was the son of Johhann Abraham Transue, Sr and Maria Magdalena Transue
Served in the American Revolution: according to the DAR Lineage Book, Abraham was a private in Capt. Christopher Johnson's company, 4th Battalion, Northampton County Militia, Col Nicholas Kern's regiment.
Abraham left a will written Oct. 15, 1822 in which he bequeathed his wife, Sophia, household furniture, a house and lot, and 44 acres of land in Williams Twp. adjoining the lands of Williams Twp. adjoining the lands in others. he land had been purchased from Melchior Transue. He also directed that his plantation in Lower Saucon Twp. be sold with 1/3 bequeathed to his wife as a dowry and the other 2/3 bequeathed to his children; Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Anthony, John, William, Peter, Melchior, Anna intermarried with Jacob Kreidler, Maria intermarried with Samuel Butz, Catharine and Elizabeth. He appointed his sons, Anthony and Isaac, the executors
Abraham's will was proven on March 16, 1829. An inventory of his estate was taken on March 29, 1829 by Jacob Unangst and John Rickel Jr. The first settlement was filed Feb. 3, 1831. It showed that a 160 acre tract of Abraham's land in Williams Twp. had been sold to John Nolf. The final settlement was filed May 21, 1833. It showed that additional land had been sold to Henry Deemer.
Register of Wills, Estate file #3999, Will Book #5 - pg. 198 , Northampton Co., Courthouse, Easton, PA
Abraham's burial place is unmarked. He and his wife Sophia were members of St. Luke's Old Williams when their younger children were baptized. But their older children were baptized at Lower Saucon and Sophia's burial record indicates burial at Lower Saucon. So it is likely that Abraham was buried at Lower Saucon.
