He was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Services were at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Kara Blackard officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include five sons, John Robert, Bobby, Thomas, and Joe all of Corinth and Marcus of Rienzi, six daughters, Martha Faust of Selmer TN., Mary Brooks, Jane Brooks, and Gladys Barnett all of Rienzi, Darnell Dildy and Peggy Sue Minor, both of Corinth, four sisters, Nora Green, Elvie Fisher and Ruby Jumper all of Corinth and Mattie Baldridge of Milan, TN. 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lela Mae Hastings Thrasher, Oct. 1974
