Sylvester Odell Penney, 96, of Elmwood Twp., passed away peacefully on Sat, 6/16/2012. He passed away at Munson Hospice House, where the family appreciated the great care Hospice provides. Sylvester was born 7/24/1915 in Midland County, to the late George L and Millie Marie (Draves) Penney. He married Delphine Wisneskie, who passed away in 1982. Surviving are their sone, Dennis L (Mary) and Robert L Penney. 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons. brother Edward Penney and many nieces and nephews. Sylvester is survived by his second wife, Glenna, whom he loved dearly. Also surviving are his stepsons, David G (Leana) Krause, 2 grandchildren and step son Brent L Pennell. Sylvester was drafted in 1944 and served our country in the Army Air Corps in Germany during WW II. Sylvester lived in ST Johns, where he had a paint store. He then moved to his farm on the Old Mission Peninsula. Sylvester liked everyone and he was well liked. He will be deeply Missed. Cremation has taken place. A Mass was celebrated at St Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
