Nathaniel Bozeman, 1812-1864
Third child of Nathan and Hariet Knotts Bozeman, was born in Georgia, Jan. 29, 1812. He married Miss Susan Garrett of Lowndes county, Ala., in 1844. His married life was spent in Autauga county, Ala., where he owned a fine residence, farm, mill, and tan yard on Mulberry creek. He was a good man, tall and fine looking, with dark hair and eyes, a farmer, a Democrat and a Baptist. In 1864, he died, and was buried at Burnesville, Ala. There his wife was laid in the grave by his side, in 1878."

He married Mary Susan Garrett, daughter of Caswell Garrett and Charity Brooks Garrett, on Jan 21, 1844 in Lowndes County, Alabama. They were the parents of at least six children: Jefferson Elisha Bozeman; James Michael Bozeman; William Julius Bozeman; Mary Ellen Bozeman; Walter Martin Bozeman; and Emily Bozeman.

Died in the 54th year of his age. Member of the Baptist Church.
