Jessie Lois Taber was born in Seminole County on March 26, 1923 and departed this life at her home in Prague on February 6, 2013. She was 89 years of age.

Lois was the daughter of Jesse and Flossie (Tucker) Aldridge. She grew up on the family farm in Seminole County and graduated from Strother High School with the Class of 1941. She was then married to Richard J. "Dick" Taber in Seminole on December 18, 1941. Dick preceded her in death on April 11, 2004. Lois enjoyed a 30 year successful career in banking with the Prague National Bank (now Vision Bank). She took a three year leave of absence in 1965 to join her husband in North Africa where they were both employed by Oasis Oil Company. She returned to the Prague National Bank and worked there until her retirement in 1985. She and her husband made their home in the northeastern part of Seminole County from 1969 until they moved to Prague in 1994. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Dick and Dowanna Taber, Prague, 2 grandsons, Russell "Rusty" and Jessica Taber, Prague, Michael Taber, Meeker; 6 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM, at Little Cemetery with Rev. Randall Miller officiating. Following the wishes of Mrs. Taber there will be no viewing. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
