Lacy Hudson was the daughter of Jane (Jeannette) KELLY and William Kenady HUDSON. Her father was a Civil War Veteran who died from war related disease. She married Alsey Thomas DEAN on Nov 20, 1872. Lacy had a son, Joseph Barnett Dean. She had a set of twins, the boy died in infancy. The girl was Irena Viola Dean who married John Warren Carpenter. Viola recalled she was only 3 yrs old when her mother Lacy died. They had gone to pick peas when a tree limb fell on her mother's head killing her. Lacy's husband remarried Seletta CALLOWAY who raised Lacy's children. Though Lacy has no grave marker, she is said to be buried with other family members in the Mineral Springs cemetery. As of 2005, Lacy's granddaughter Nobie is still living in Talladega, ALA at age 93.
