Asheville – Mary Lee Angel Brooks, 82, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Stone Creek Health & Rehabilitation, Asheville, North Carolina.

Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Charlie and Tilda Waycaster Angel and wife of the late Leo Collins Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Alvin and Kenneth Brooks and two sisters and four brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Brooks North; son, Ted Brooks; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister, Ruby Griffin; brothers, Floyd Angel and Richard Angel and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Raines officiating.

Burial will follow in Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
