r Gwendolyn Hardy, 95, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 13, 2005) at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, Danville.

She was born April 10, 1909, in Potomac, a daughter of Frank and Clara Alford Weiser Hall.

She married Samuel Adams. He died July 10, 1952.

She later married Russell Hardy. He died Feb. 15, 1985.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Carter of Danville, Jeanette King of Armstrong, Phyllis Lindsey of Newport News, Va., and Rosemary Smith of Henning; four sons, Eugene Adams of Vidor, Texas, Kenneth Adams of Covington, Ind., Donald Adams of Maryville, Calif., and Jack Adams of Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Clara Myler of Danville; 36 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and a grandson.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of the Eagles Club and wintered in Texas or California. She collected pitchers and enjoyed dancing, cooking and gardening.
