Bea graduated from Shamrock High School and later attended 1 year of college at Central State College in Edmond. She moved back to Bristow in 2005 from Duncan and was the first resident to move in the Woodland Village apartments. She spent most of her working years in Oklahoma City working in the credit department for Sears and later J.C.Penny's where she retired after 30 plus years of service. Bea attended the 1st Free Will Baptist Church in Bristow. She enjoyed making sequin calendars for friends, doing puzzle books, reading, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Veta Batten and husband Steve of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Lyn Ann Monnette and husband Michael, and Stephanie Batten; four great grandchildren, Jessica Monnette, Amanda Monnette, Matthew Monnette, and Christopher Monnette; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters, and three brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Bristow 1st Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Old 44 Cemetery.
