W.W. Rowzee was born in Elbert County GA. His family migrated to Mississippi when he was a child. It was there that he met his wife, Frances Jane "Fanny" Adams, daughter of Joseph Adams and Rebecca McCully Adams, who were originally from York County SC. W.W.Rowzee served in Company B, Second Mississippi Cavalry, during the War Between the States. The Rowzees had at least eight children, some of whom are buried with him in Decatur MS.
