The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday February 9, 2013, at York Church of God, with Revs. Jason Garner and James Garner officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of York, Harmon was a son of the late Oscar and Della Ramsey Merritt. He was the widower of Bernice Bolin Merritt. Harmon was a member of York Church Of God, York Lions Club, and The Gideons. Harmon was a member of the York City Council and the South Carolina National Guard.
