Born in Liberty, ME, a son of the late Oscar and Elizabeth (Lamson) Bachelor, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 29 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Prior to his retirement in 1995 Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Co., East Hartford employed him for 41 years. He was a member of the Liberty Lodge #111, AF & AM, Liberty, ME. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing.
Besides his beloved wife and parents, a brother, Richard Bachelder, of Liberty, ME, predeceased him.
Mr. Bachelor is survived by his only child, Ralph O. Bachelor of East Hartford with whom he made his home; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph L. and Kathy Bachelor of Enfield; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, at 10 a.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
