Robert Christison Krause known as Bob, was born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. He was married to his college sweetheart, Hazel Hassenpflug, 24 Oct 1942 in Ipswich, Edmunds, South Dakota. They were together for 43 years until her death in 1985.

Bob was an industrial engineer for Douglas Aircraft for over 35 years. He began to restore Durant Motors Star cars while taking sheet metal and welding classes at Long Beach City College. During this process he became the West Coast technical advisor and board member of the Durant Automobile Club.

He was married to the second love of his life, Martha Springer, for over 17 years.

Bob proudly served in the Army during WWII, in Germany, as part of Patton's 104th Infantry. Bob was an active member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church for over 65 years. A deep faith has been the central core of Bob's life.

He passed peacefully in his sleep September 13, 2010.

Bob is survived by his son, Dick; three grandchildren Heidi, Cherese and Bryan; great grandchild, Lincoln; along with two daughters-in-law, Jeanine and Diana.
