Following Grace's death, Charles married Elvena Amber "Vena" (Crowley) Handspiker on June 16, 1950 in Jonesport, Maine as her third husband. Charles and Elvena had no children. Charles was 5'-5" tall, with light brown hair and hazel eyes. Charles was a member of Redmen, Knights of Pythias, Grange, and played a banjo and drums in the Jonesport Band. Charles was a member of the R.L.D.S. Church.
