She was the daughter of William and Jenny Dyk. She attended school in Manhattan and graduated from high school in 1941.

She worked at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital until she married Emil Ehresman in 1945. They then moved to Billings, where she was his devoted wife and companion for 59 years.

Together they raised six children. In her passing she leaves her husband, Emil Ehresman; her children: Ken Ehresman and his wife, Cindy of Huntingdon, Pa., William Ehresman and his wife, Chery of Billings, Connie Cheney and her husband, Craig of Mesa, Ariz., Karen Ehresman and her husband, David Oberly of Laurel, Dale Ehresman and his wife, Angie of Billings, and Corine Roberts and her husband, Tim of Mesa, Ariz.
