FLETCHER C. DARDEN
SMITHFIELD - Fletcher Cofer Darden, 97, a native of Isle of Wight, died Thursday, Nov. 26.
Mrs. Darden was a homemaker and the oldest living member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was an honorary board member and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Smithfield Woman's Club, the Smithfield Homemakers' Club and the Bethany Ladies Bible Class.
Survived by a son, Taylor E. Darden Jr. of Newport News, and three grandchildren.
Funeral at 2 p.m. today in Bethany United Methodist Church by the Rev. Maria Waters. Burial in Bethany Cemetery.
