Thomas Addis enlisted 17 Apr 1917 and served with the 32nd Aero Squadron until his death from diease 6 Aug 1918.

His named is listed on a Bronze plaque on the 3rd Aviation Instruction Monument in France. The 3rd Aviation Instruction Center is one of many WWI Monuments that have been erected to honor the sacrifices of Americans who gave their lives for the Liberation of France. The monument located southeast of Tours, France was erected by a World War I Aviator Association to honor those aviators and soldiers who were killed at the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center, which was the largest WWI airfield in France.
