Pearl married Roscoe Adkins in Chattanooga, Comanche County, Oklahoma, April 8, 1909. Their daughter, Ora (later changed to Oreaka by Ora herself) Lillian Adkins was born January 17, 1910, in Chattanooga, Oklahoma.
Enumerated in the 1910 federal census on May 14, 1910, Pearl Adkins (who gave her marital status as "married") and Ora Adkins were living with Pearl's parents in Haskell Township, Tillman County, Oklahoma. Roscoe Adkins (whose marital status was listed as "single") was listed as a "boarder" on May 4, 1910, in Kingfisher Township, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma (1910 federal census). It is believed that Roscoe Adkins was remarried to Allie Johnston about 1911. It is not known when Roscoe and Pearl's marriage ended.
Pearl was remarried to Charles Leland LaCount. Their daughter, Opal M., was born about 1914 and by 1920 the LaCount family, as well as the Millege Lathem family, were living in Oklahoma City, Ward 4, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma (1920 federal census).
The 1930 census of Oklahoma City (Ward 4), Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, enumerated both the Millege Lathem and Charles Leland LaCount families. Living with Pearl and her husband were Oreaka and her two small children, Estaleen and Kenneth. Oreaka was listed as "married," but no husband for her was listed in the household.
At the time her daughter, Oreaka, died in 1970, Pearl was living in Oklahoma City, and her last name was LaCount. At the time of her death in April of 1981, her last known residence was Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. Pearl J. LaCount is buried in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, beside hers and Roscoe's daughter, Oreaka L. Adkins Hassell. They share a double tombstone.
