Graveside Rites Set for A.P. Wright
Merkel, January 23 - Graveside services for A.P. Wright, 85, resident of Calliham for several years, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stith Community Cemetery. A funeral was conducted Monday in Calliham and he was sent here for burial beside his wife.
Mrs. Wright died July 31, 1945 while visiting with her sister, Mrs. J.M. Sloan of Stith (her sister-in-law).
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. C.H. White and Mrs. G.R. Greer of Calliham, Mrs. D.A. McDaniels of Electra, Mrs. Ezra Jones of Bryson and Mrs. S.M. Butts of Iowa Park; two sons, L.E. Wright of Tulare, California and Nat Wright of Abilene; and one sister, Mrs. Will Mathis [Mrs. Will Mathews, not Mathis, Bettie Wright] of Goldsboro. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

After his first wife died in 1892, Ambrose remarried to Nancy Tabitha Wilson on 27 December 1893 in Johnson, Texas. Nancy and Ambrose had 5 children.
