She was born October 9, 1922, in Stony Point, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Joseph Reid Rhyne and Beulah Combs Rhyne. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Elk Shoals Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Stony Point, North Carolina. In 1987, she retired from Beauty Maid Mills in Statesville, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Lewis Quinton Alexander, Sr., in 1958 and by her second husband, Rowe Bub Wilson, in 1995.
She is survived by a daughter: Mary Lee Alexander Palmer, and husband, Jerry James Palmer, of Taylorsville, North Carolina; a son: Lewis Quinton Alexander, Jr., and wife, Janet Amelia Millsaps Alexander, of Stony Point, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Carol Joan Palmer Fox, and husband, Ricky Allen Fox; and Victoria Alexander; two grandsons: Todd Lewis Palmer and wife, Carla Palmer; and, Thomas Alexander; two great-grandsons: Christopher Fox and Brennan Fox; two great-granddaughters: Rachel Palmer and Livia Palmer; four brothers: Howard Earl Rhyne of Stony Point, North Carolina; William Lee Rhyne of Statesville, North Carolina; and David Efird Rhyne Sr. of Statesville, North Carolina; and Joseph Wade Rhyne of Mooresville, North Carolina; an aunt, Eunice "Polly" Combs Dyson; and her special caregiver, Mildred Parks.
