He was already 3 years old by July 20th 1870

Services for Walter W Chance, 88, were conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the First Methodist church in Texhoma with Rev. Clement E. Lewis officiating, Dawson Funeral home was in charge of arrangements for interment at Texhoma Cemetery.
Chance died early Monday morning following an illness of several months duration. Born in Illinois in 1867. Chance moved to Texas before later moving to the Baker community north of Texhoma. A retired farmer, he spent most of his life in Texas county. Mrs. Chance preceded her husband in death several years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Reasoner, Amarillo, and two sons, Thomas W. Chance of Texhoma and Joe B, Chance of Houston, Tex. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
