In loving memory of Dorothy Jean Wallgren, 71, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, who died Monday May 9, 2005. Jean passed away due to complications from diabetes.

Jean was born in Preston Idaho on October 31, 1933. She grew up on the farm with her parents, Curtis and Mildred Bosen, and her three younger brothers Dan, Wayne, and Lyle. In her early years, she loved riding horses and enjoyed working with her dad on the farm.

Jean married De Wallgren on January 6th, 1951 and they lived in Idaho, California, and finally settled in the Tri-Cities in 1972. Her biggest joy was her family.

De and Jean had three children Scott his wife Sandy, Carl his wife Denine, Lynda and her husband Steve Haug. She had seven grandchildren; Jeff Deal his wife, Linda, Karyn and her husband Jeremy Jamison, Curtis his wife Amanda, David, Stacy, Sara, and Stephanie. She also had four great-grandchildren Jeff, Brendon, Russell and Hannah. Jean never missed a family event, special occasion, or sporting activity. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis and brother, Dan.

Jean was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a successful businesswoman having owned four Lady J's clothing stores throughout the Northwest. She belonged to the Tri-City County Club, and was a longtime member of the women's nine holers. She was also an avid fan of the Tri-City Americans.

She was a blessing to her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 515 S. Union St. in Kennewick. Jean's family would like to give a special thanks to Tri-Cities Kidney Center and Tri-City Chaplaincy for the loving care they provided her throughout her struggle with diabetes.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Jean's name to either Tri-City Chaplaincy Hospice, 2108 W. Entiat Kennewick Wa. or to Tri-Cities Kidney Center, 510 North Colorado Suite B., Kennewick, Wa.
