Born July 22, 1920 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late, Henry A. Edwards and Rebecca Hayden Edwards.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carlton Beverly Adams; two sons, Carl Adams, and Richard Adams; four brothers, Glennon Edwards, Albert Edwards, Tommy Edwards, and Dewey Edwards; and a sister, Myrtle Hankins.
Mrs. Adams was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, where she was member of the church choir, and a Sunday school teacher. She was a retired employee of Craddock-Terry; and enjoyed gardening, and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, David Adams and his wife, Anita of Gretna, and Mark Adams and his wife, Denise of Blairs; a daughter-in-law, Linda Adams of Fayetteville, NC; four grandchildren, Michelle Adams, Kelsey Adams, Richard Adams, and Christopher Adams; and four great-grandchildren.
