BARBARA J. BUSSE, 71, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, Barbara worked at Lutheran Hospital for 44 years, retiring in 2006 as a Nursing Administrative Supervisor. She graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1959, received her R.N. from Lutheran School of Nursing in 1962 and her Bachelors from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. in 1996. She was a member of First Christian Church. She is survived by her sons, Matt and Chris Busse; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Gary) Falbe; brother-in-law, Larry (Shelby) Busse; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell M. and Mary Allen; and husband, Melford. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Julie Western officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to First Christian Church.
