Surviving are her husband of almost 48 years; son, Birk S. Stathers III and his children, Walter Thomas Stathers and Thomas Stathers; daughter, Margaret Stathers (Janison John) Grant and their children, James Birk Grant and Molly Lewis Grant and brothers, G. Thomas Battle and Henry W. Battle III.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Hawthorne Dill Battle, Jr.
