Albert E. Flynn Sr., 83, of Springfield died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at St. John's Hospice.He was born June 27, 1915, in Springfield, the son of Otis W. and Hannah M. Hughes Flynn. He married Elsie A. Goldsberry in 1937.Mr. Flynn, a lifelong resident of Springfield, retired from Allis Chalmers where he was employed as an inspector. He was a member of St. Aloysius Church, lefthanders Gun Club in Loami and Multiple Sclerosis Society.Survivors wife, Elsie A.; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Barbara J.) Musgrove of New Berlin; two sons, William Flynn of Anaheim, Calif., and Albert E. "Gene" Flynn Jr. of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Services Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Aloysius Church, the Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial Calvary Cemetery.Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
