Dana Robert Latlippe, 13, of Auburn, left this world on Jan. 29, 2013

He was born in Lewiston, April 21, 1999, the son of Kathrine Eileen Kreamer-Latlippe and Robert Sterling Latlippe and sister to Kristina Eileen Latlippe.

Dana was a seventh-grader at Auburn Middle School. He was a member of the Kennebec Valley young Marines, Army Cadets and Auburn youth hockey/Twin City Titans hockey association.

As a proud and passionate young Marine, Dana took an oath to build his character, live a healthy and drug-free life, and always be loyal. He was known for his leadership, teamwork and discipline, whether playing hockey or as a member of Army Cadets, Dana's vision of service to others guided him to live with honor, respect and loyalty.

He always gave 100 percent. He had a passion for his teammates, he always tried to make everyone happy and relaxed before each game and praised everyone for all their efforts and hard work after the game was done whether they won or not. When Dana was not playing hockey, he was riding his mountain bike or his dirt bike or playing his PS3 always trying to beat the game.

The quintessential American boy, Dana loved his friends, hockey, hunting, camping and his Kawasaki motorcycle, of which he was known for popping wheelies and peeling out.

Dana loved life, his family, his friends and his country. He lived with courage, fearlessness and boundless joy. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, compassion and empathy.

Dana's life dream since the age of 7 was to serve his country. He spent all his years striving for honor and excellence and he was so proud to march in the Washington, D.C., Memorial Day parade in May 2008. Dana has recently joined the Army Cadets continuing to show his pride and joy for his country.

Dana is survived by his paternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Latlippe of Auburn; paternal great-grandmother, Beverly Lee of Auburn; paternal grandfather, Robert Sterling Latlippe Sr. of Poland; paternal grandfather, Michael Eaton of Jackman; maternal grandmother, Peggy-McMorrow Pulsifer of Minot; maternal grandfather, John Pulsifer of Minot; aunts and uncles, Kimia and Warren Libby of Hartford, Michael Kreamer of Greenville, N.H., Karen Latlippe of Poland, Jennifer and Peter Lepkowski of Warsaw, Poland, Amanda and Leroy Baker of Jackman, David and Brandy Eaton of Jackman, Michael Eaton, Sheri and Paul Poliquin of Minot and Annette Pulsifer of Minot; the entire McMorrow Family; and many adoring cousins.
