Roena Kauffman, 83, of Olney, died at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 9, 2005) at her residence.
She was born Feb. 16, 1921 in DuQuoin, a daughter of William Henry and Louisa E. (Cobeck) McPherson. She married the Rev. John Elden Kauffman on June 26, 1948 in McClure, PA; he died on April 15, 2004.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Thomas W. Kauffman and wife, Janelle of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Ruth Coleman and husband, James of Olney, IL and Mary Lou Kauffman of Atlanta, GA; sister, Ruth Taylor of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Kauffman was a retired teacher. She was affiliated with the Faith United Methodist Church in Mattoon, IL.
