Harold E. Andersen, age 53, a resident of Colorado Springs for 50 years, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Pikes Peak Hospice. Harold Eugene Andersen was born on November 23, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a warehouseman for a cable company. He enjoyed watching Nascar, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and playing fast pitch softball. He loved cats, bowling, and assembling models. Harold's best times were spent with his family. Harold is survived by his mother and step-father, a brother, a nephew, and a grand-niece He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Gene Andersen. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs. A reception is planned to follow at the American Legion Post 5, 15 East Platte Avenue.
