"Ernest A. Boatman, master bridge player, longtime pharmacist and tax preparer, passed on Wednesday January 2, 2012 after suffering a massive heart attack. Loving brother of Virginia Boatman Allen; beloved uncle of Joan Duffy, Susan Kamauff, Patsy Allen and Michael Allen. Uncle Ernest will also be missed by seven grandnieces and nephews. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Mr. Boatman was the son of Ruth and Willis W. Boatman, and a member of the Mid Atlantic Bridge Conference and the American Contract Bridge League.
A memorial service will be held sometime in February. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Covenant House, a youth shelter, at Times Square Station, P.O. Box 731, New York, NY 10108-0900."
