Ed Payne, 77, Knottsville, died of a heart attack Thursday while eating lunch in a neighbor's home.
A member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Payne is survived by his wife Bessie; four sons, Ivo, Clyde and Austin, Hawesville, and Hubert, Cannelton, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee Jackson, and Mrs. Myrtle McDaniel, Cannelton, and Mrs. Ester Phelps, Hawesville, 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Martin Funeral Home at Whitesville. Arrangements have not been completed.
