HAROLD ASPITTLE Harold passed away January 13, 2013. He was a native of Riverside, born to John Thomas and Lillias Ann Aspittle on May 14, 1916. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sidney, Allen and Gladys. He graduated from Poly High School in 1934. He served in the U.S. Army, 10th Armored Division from May 1941 to October 1945. He was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery and was honorably discharged as Tech Sergeant. He served in Europe and fought the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Dill Lumber Company for many years and retired from Corona Lumber Company as Foreman in December 1978. Harold married Adeline Hegg on June 16, 1950. They enjoyed cards and traveled with their travel trailer for almost 20 years extensively in the United States and some in Canada. He attended Faith Community Church where he did a lot of volunteer work in the garden and in thrift sales. Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Addie and daughters Gayle (Tom) and Claire (Charles), 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Andrea, Clifford, Carolyn and Clinton, and 8 great grandchildren.
