Cindy Lorene McKnight

Cindy Lorene McKnight died January 29, 2013, from complications of Multiple Sclerosis at Dameron Hospital in Stockton, CA. She would have been 56 the following day.

She was a 1975 graduate of Winona High School and a graduate of Northern Illinois University.

In Stockton, she had previously served as director of The Arc San Joaquin, an organization for people with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities.
She was a member of Moore Memorial Methodist Church.

Cindy was the daughter of the late Woodrow McKnight and Margie Atkins McKnight.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Woody McKnight; grandparents, Johnnie and Minnie Crossley Atkins of Kilmichael and Dr. William Wesley and Augusta Bethany McKnight of Stewart.

Survivors include two sisters, Carol Bachio of Hennepin, Ill., and Beth Austin of Winona; one brother, Neal McKnight of Kansas City, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.

Cherokee Funeral Home handled arrangements.
